Sherburne Jewelers Customer Repair Warranty:

Sherburne jewelers warranties all work that our shop performs for 90 days after the work is done.
From 3 to 6 months we provide a limited warranty on work we have performed. We can only warranty the work we have done to any item; if the item suffers damage unrelated to its repair we cannot warranty that damage.

For up to 6 months after a repair is performed we will warranty against the loss of small
stones. We cannot assume responsibility for the loss of stones V2 carat or above. We recommend having jewelry items with stones in excess of ‘A carat appraised and insured.

Policies


  • Glued items

  • Gold or Rhodium plating

  • Loss of any prong set stone that is set in 3 or fewer prongs

  • Loss of any round stone over 'A carat unless it is set in a 6 prong gold setting or a 4

  • Prong platinum setting


Stones that are set in worn or damaged setting, including prongs, bead setting, bezels and channels. Or any stone that is set crooked or in a setting with insufficient support.
We will guarantee a ring sizing for 30 days from the date of delivery. If the customer is not satisfied with the fit of the ring we will resize it once, at no charge, within 30 days of delivery. We can only guarantee that ring sizing will be accurate if we are able to measure the customer's forger directly, we cannot guarantee accuracy if we are given another ring to go by. Because a customer's fingers can change size due to diet, medication, weather or weight change we can only guarantee a ring size for 30 days.
When we have checked the setting of a stone we cannot guarantee the exact length of time the setting will last before repair is necessary. For example if we suggest repair within 6 months that does not guarantee that the setting will last 6 months, only that we believe that it will not last more than 6 months.

We cannot guarantee the durability of links on rivets, chains, bracelets, clasps etc even after checking. Many items cannot be completely checked without taking them apart which would then require them to be repaired. We can only guarantee linked items that we have repaired and only those areas of the item that we have repaired.

After re-tipping prongs we can only guarantee against loss of stones if all the recommended prongs were re-tipped. If the customer has chosen to forgo a portion on the repair we cannot warranty the entire item.
We cannot guarantee that any diamond or gemstone, after purchase, will not chip, break, scratch or fracture. We will not warranty any stone that we work on that is previously damaged, chipped, broken or has large inclusions or imperfections. We will inform the customer of any of these items before proceeding with any work.
Refunds can only be received within 30 days of the original purchase. The sales receipt must be present and the merchandise must be in its original condition (not worn, damaged etc.) Items which have been altered, either before or after purchase, including sizing and engraving, as well as special order items and custom made items are non-refundable. Sale merchandise is not returnable for a refund.

If the purchase was made with a credit card, that same card will be credited for the refund. If the purchase was made with check or cash a store check will be issued. In the case of payment by check the refund cannot be issued until 10 days after the original purchase to ensure that the customer's check clears.
Items may also be returned for in-store credit. The item must be returned within 30 days of purchase with the sales receipt. The merchandise must be in its original condition (not worn, damaged etc). Items which have been altered, either before or after purchase, including sizing and engraving, as well as special order items and custom made items are not returnable. Sale merchandise can be returned for in-store credit.
Items may be exchanged within the first 30 days after purchase for an item or equal or greater value. From 30 to 90 days items may be exchanged toward the purchase of merchandise of at least 20% greater value. The sales receipt must be present and the merchandise must be in its original condition (not worn, damaged etc.) Items which have been altered, either before or after purchase, including sizing and engraving, as well as special order items and custom made items cannot be exchanged.
